	It's not an unknown phrase to me, but I'm not sure where I learned it. I suspect it may have come from the generation preceding mine, the ones who lived through the Depression when getting work would have been news to write about. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	It's from Bob and Ray. "Write if you get work." "And hang by your thumbs." I think Keith Olbermann used it a few times as well, in homage. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
